The draft standard stipulates Both the user and the manufacturer of the elastic coupling must provide information to each other, the purpose of which is to make the structure and performance of the selected elastic coupling suitable for the use of the transmission loading vehicle, and to obtain long-term safe operation.This draft formally became an international standard in 108.
The standardization of couplings in my country started late. Before 1981, there were no national standards. Only some department or industry product standards were formulated, such as JB108-1966 "Elastic Cylindrical Pin Coupling", Q/ZB 122-1973 "Plastic plate elastic coupling", Q/ZB 123-1973 "Nylon pin coupling", B 1004-1966 "Claw-shaped elastic coupling", HG 5-213-1965 "Vertical clamp coupling" Maker" and so on. In 1981, my country held the first national academic conference on couplings. This conference received support and attention from relevant departments.In order to speed up the standardization work and specialized production process of couplings, after the meeting, the Standardization Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry formulated a work plan for coupling standardization.The planning requires that the basic standards for couplings be formulated first, and the products will be formulated successively depending on the maturity of the products.After several years of work by relevant scientific research units and factories, a number of national and departmental standards have been formulated.In formulating standards, international standards are actively adopted, and those with corresponding international standards are selected according to international standards, and those without national standards are formulated according to foreign advanced standards and based on my country's actual conditions.The formulation of these standards has played a positive role in the development of couplings in my country.Among them, the four standards of GB 12458-1990 "Classification of Mechanical Couplings" are the basic standards for couplings. When formulating coupling standards and designing couplings, the relevant regulations in the standards should be followed.
