The essentials of coupling selection:
① Allowable rated torque-is the allowable value of the torque that the coupling bears during actual use;
②Maximum allowable torque-the maximum critical value for damage to the coupling during use;
③Maximum allowable speed-it is necessary to make sure that the speed of the motor is within this range when selecting the model;
④ Allowable eccentricity-the allowable value of the parallel deviation of the axis of the two shafts;
⑤ Allowable deflection angle-allowable value of mutual angle formed between two shafts;
⑥ Allowable axial deviation-the allowable value of the displacement of the two axes in the axial direction.
When starting and stopping forward and reverse switching, the motor will apply a load greater than the maximum torque of the motor to the coupling. Therefore, when selecting the coupling, the rated torque of the coupling should be greater than the maximum torque of the motor.
In the equipment with frequent forward and reverse rotation, the rated torque of the coupling should be 2-5 times the maximum torque of the motor. If it is a servo motor, it should be 5-10 times.Each series of couplings has its own unique performance, please select the appropriate coupling according to the specific requirements during use.
